ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Call For Abstract

The Call for Abstracts will open on December 11th, 2025.

We invite researchers, clinicians, and innovators to submit original work aligned with one of the conference’s five scientific areas:

1. Image-based and multimodal AIexample topics: AI for screening, diagnosis, workflow optimization, treatment decision-making, prognosis, predictive biomarkers …

2. Explainable and trustworthy AIexample topics: Explainable AI, transparency, ethics and regulation, privacy, federated learning, synthetic data approaches …

3. Agentic AI and Large Language Modelsexample topics: Novel applications of agentic systems, LLMs, and foundation models in oncology

4. Multi-omics, drug discovery, and preventionexample topics: Integrative multi-omics, AI-driven drug discovery, prevention research, exposome, AI for single -omics …

5. Digital health and AI-enabled careexample topics: apps and wearable devices, real-world data and patient empowerment, digital twins, digital medicine, telemedicine, AI clinical trial design, trial matching …

Abstracts (maximum 250 words, title excluded + 1 table or figure) should be structured in such a way as to include the following 4 sections:
1.Backround
2.Methods
3.Results
4.Conclusions

Abstracts will be evaluated through a blind review process, by two independent reviewers in avoidance of conflicts of interest, and will be assessed based on the following criteria:

  • Scientific soundness; methodological rigor, and feasibility
  • Innovation and potential impact of the work proposed
  • Clarity of the objectives and the results where available
  • Quality of the presentation

The authors of the best-ranked abstracts in each of the five areas will be invited to present their work in a flash talk (10 minutes) during the event.

Abstracts should be submitted on web platform – https://www.aiforoncology.it/ by February 3rd EoB at the latest. —> Deadline has been postponed to February 16th

Acceptance notifications were sent.

If you received the automatic-generated e-mail “Your abstract was accepted“, your abstract has been accepted to be presented as a POSTER during the Conference “1st Annual Meeting ESAC and 4th Edition AI FOR ONCOLOGY and Cancer Research”. You can also check your abstract status by logging on the website.

At least one author (for each poster) will be present during the Poster session and during ceremony, as per programme.

8.30 a.m. – 9.30 a.m. POSTER SESSION

3.40 p.m. – 4.10 p.m. CEREMONY

The best posters will be evaluated and awarded, the winners will be announced during the last session of the congress (May 8th 3.40 – 4.10 p.m.).

In the following weeks, we will update the AI FOR ONCOLOGY website with more details about the award that best poster winners will receive.

FOR BEST ORAL WINNERS ONLY

There were six best oral winners. If you won the best oral, you received a second e-mail entitled “Best oral winner“. Please check your mailbox.

Best oral winners are invited to deliver a short oral presentation based on their work presented in the abstract (more details are enlisted in the e-mail you received).

To date, only best oral winners are eligible for a prize:

  • First author from Europe will receive a prize of max. 600 Euro (as travel grant).
  • First author from the USA and Canada will receive a prize of max. 1000 Euro  (as travel grant).

Esac member can register free of charge. Non-ESAC Members must pay € 183,00 including Italian VAT (€ 150,00 + Italian VAT 22%).
